Deboshmita Brahma is a PhD student in the Department of Economics, University of Calcutta. She is an applied economist with areas of interest in the economics of gender, environmental economics, and development studies. She has completed her post-graduation in Economics from the University of Calcutta, and has previously worked as a Research Assistant at Jawaharlal Nehru University, and as an Academic Intern at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. Her work has been published in several national and international journals.
