Neha Arya is a PhD scholar, currently enrolled in the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences of the Indian Institute of Technology (Delhi). Her research interests centre around the impact of technology on the labour market. At present, she is studying the implications of the rise of the gig and platform economy on India’s labour market, in the context of India’s large, relatively young, population and high unemployment rates (especially in urban areas).
