T.S. Syamala is Associate Professor, and Head of the Population Research Centre, Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore. Her areas of specialisation are population and health, ageing and well-being, and gender. She has published several papers in both national and international peer-reviewed journals. She has also been a part of the Indo-European Network Project on ageing and well-being in the globalised world.
