Praveen K Jha, Professor of Economics and Chairperson of the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning (CESP), School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He is one of the Editors of a tri-continental journal, Agrarian South: Journal of Political Economy. His major area of research and teaching is political economy of development with focus on Indian economy, labour economics, agricultural economics, economics of education, public finance and history of economic thought. He has authored/edited a number of books and monographs to his credit.
