Claudia Berg is an Extended Term Consultant in the Sustainability and Infrastructure Unit of the Research Development Group of the World Bank. Previously, she worked in the Poverty and Equity Practice and Sustainable Development Group, among others. Her research interests include a range of issues, mainly assessing the economic and welfare impact of policy and investment measures such as micro-finance, road infrastructure, poverty interventions, trade, and currently climate change. Outside the World Bank, she applied her skills at the International Monetary Fund and Inter-American Development Bank. Prior to joining the World Bank, she taught microeconomics at George Washington University, where she earned a PhD in economics
