Teresa is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Research Affiliate at the IZA Institute of Labor Economics. Her research interests span the fields of development, health, and labour economics. Much of her recent work explores the effects of government policies on health, education, and labour market outcomes. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California in 2017.
