Sujaya Sircar is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. She completed her Masters from the Centre of International Trade and Development (with specialisation in World Economy), Jawaharlal Nehru University and received her Ph.D. from the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi. Sujaya's research areas mainly focus on environmental economics, labour economics and development economics, specifically in India. Her recent research focuses on how high temperatures affect students' test scores and the allocation of time between studying and other activities.
