Kartikeya Batra is a development economist with keen interest in political economy. He uses applied microeconometric techniques, and large datasets of different kinds, and his research explores the determinants of socioeconomic development, with a focus on regional development in low- and middle-income countries.
He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland, and will be joining the Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS) as a policy economist (Post-Doc) in July 2024.
