Ganeshan Wignaraja is Advisor, Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department at Asian Development Bank, Manila. Prior to this, he was Director of Research of the Asian Development Bank Institute in Tokyo. In a career spanning over 25 years in international economics research, economic policy and advisory work, he has held positions at the Asian Development Bank, the Commonwealth Secretariat, the OECD, Oxford University, Overseas Development Institute, the United Nations University Institute for New Technologies and a UK consulting firm. He has published 13 books on international economics, regional integration, small and medium enterprises, development economics and development finance. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Asian Economics. He holds a D.Phil. in economics from Oxford University and a B.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics.
