Marcello Pérez-Alvarez is an Assistant Professor of Development Economics at Erlangen-Nürnberg University (FAU). His research focusses on human capital and development. His research interests also include gender, inequality, and the political economy of aid. Marcello holds a Ph.D. in economics from Göttingen University and has worked as a consultant in health and education projects for the World Bank, Save the Children, the Dutch Government, and Oxford University
