Koustav Majumdar is an Associate - Housing Synergy Group within the Labour, Urban and Housing Rights Division at ActionAid Association, India. His work is mostly focussed on the livelihood and living conditions of migrant and informal sector workers. He has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Presidency University, Kolkata, and an M.A. in Globalisation and Labour from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. During his graduate studies, he completed a semester abroad at Sciences Po, Paris where he studied international development. His areas of interests are informal economy, urban poverty, labour policy, and migration stu
