Helena Marques is Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Economics of the University of the Balearic Islands (Spain). Previously she taught economics at the University of Manchester, Loughborough University and Newcastle University in the UK. She specialised in the economics of European integration, international trade and open economy macroeconomics, having published in the Review of International Economics, IMF Staff Papers, Manchester School, Applied Economics, International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of International Trade and Economic Development, among others.
