Ruchira Bhattamishra is an independent researcher based in the USA. She received a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University, a M.Sc. in Politics of the World Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a B.A. from Bryn Mawr College. Her research interests include the economic development of indigenous populations, food security and distress migration in Odisha, evaluation of economic development programmes, and how behavioural economics can inform development policy.
