Rubén Poblete-Cazenave is a Research Fellow at the Department of Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is affiliated to the Erasmus Center for Economic and Financial Governance and also a candidate Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute. 

He holds a PhD in Economics from University College London (UCL). His research focuses on political economy and economics of crime. He is particularly interested in studying politicians' abuse of power and institutional capacity to hold them accountable.
