Mrinalini Jha is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Sustainable Employment in Azim Premji University. She completed her Ph.D. from Delhi School of Economics at the University of Delhi. Her research focusses on the economics of discrimination and unequal opportunities in economic well-being. She works closely on the issues of inequality and poverty in developing economies, and also studies the impact of structural transformation on wage polarisation over the skill spectrum of workers in the Indian labour market. During, and prior to her Ph.D. she taught Masters students of Economics at the Delhi School of Economics, and undergraduate students of Economics at the University of Delhi. Her other research interests include the bearing of intersectionality of multiple social identities on individuals’ economic outcomes.
