Lakhwinder Singh is a Visiting Professor at the Institute for Human Development (IHD), New Delhi. Prior to this, he has been Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at Punjabi University, Patiala, where he has founded Centre for Development Economics and Innovation Studies (CDEIS). He is the founding Editor of Millennial Asia: An International Journal of Asian Studies published by SAGE.
He has held several visiting positions, including at Yale University and Seoul National University, South Korea, and has teaching experience of more than 32 years. His specialisations are development economics, innovation systems, regional economics, area studies and the economy of Punjab.
