Dean Yang is a development economist at the University of Michigan, where he is a Professor in the Department of Economics, Professor at the Ford School of Public Policy, and Research Professor at the Population Studies Center (Institute for Social Research).
He is a Co-Editor of the Journal of Development Economics. During the 2024-25 academic year, he is spending his sabbatical at CEMFI as a Maria de Maetzu Visiting Professor.
