Daniel Bennett is Assistant Professor (Research) of Economics at the Center for Economic and Social Research and Department of Economics, University of Southern California (USC). He is an applied microeconomist who studies economic development and global health. His research examines the impact of information on health behaviour and the operation of healthcare markets. He also studies the interaction between poverty and mental health. Prof. Bennett has led or participated in several randomised field experiments in South Asia. He received his Ph.D. in 2008 from Brown University and served on the faculty of the University of Chicago for eight years before joining USC.
