Anjani Kumar Singh is the Chief Secretary of the Government of Bihar. Prior to this, he has served as Principal Secretary at the Department of Education, and subsequently as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. During his tenure at the Education Department, he oversaw successful implementation of various flagship programmes of the Government of Bihar including the ‘Mukhyamantri Bicycle Yojna’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Akshar Anchal Yojana’. He has been a champion for improving literacy in Bihar and has received the UNESCO prize for Literacy by the President of India. As the Chief Secretary of the state, he is ensuring new benchmark in the realm of governance.
